Compliance with India's Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA)

IGTC recently completed two sets of fact sheets on compliance with India’s Cigarettes and other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA). Data were collected in the Indian states Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan. The most recent fact sheets highlight change in compliance over time (between 2012 and 2013) with COTPA in these states, using the same framework as the April 2013 fact sheets.

The original fact sheets report compliance with indoor smoking bans, prohibition of public tobacco advertisements and prohibition of tobacco sales within 100 yards of schools.
