Tobacco 21 Policy in Maryland: State of the Evidence

This study explored the nature and extent of tobacco advertising and promotions at POS near 904 junior, senior and vocational high schools in rural and urban areas of 10 cities across China.

This report provides an overview of the projected impacts of a policy that bans or restricts the use of flavors in tobacco products as well as evidence-based policy recommendations for maximizing public health benefits and minimizing unintended consequences.

In March, IGTC collaborated with the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids and Códice S.C. (Comunicación, Diálogo y Conciencia S.C.) in Mexico to observe tobacco marketing and promotion at points-of-sale in Mexico City.

Global cigarette volume sales are declining, but the sales of flavored cigarettes in Latin America are climbing.  Flavored cigarettes appeal directly to youth and non-smokers because they mask the harsh taste of tobacco smoke and ease initiation into smoking.
